Under the Hood with Hibi | Episode 2: Speeder Bikes

Hibi’s second episode premiered in the Xbox showcase at gamescom in Cologne last night, and it is live on our channel today. This one is speeder bikes.

Fast and ferocious. You brake heavily into corners, lean all the way in, and then get a massive drop of acceleration as you power out. It is the vehicle class that rewards nerve, and in Galactic Racer it races on the same track, at the same time, as landspeeders and skim speeders. Different racing lines colliding is the whole point.

GamesRadar+ also talked to Fuse creative director Kieran Crimmins at gamescom about why the story is a sports movie set after Return of the Jedi, mirroring the real post-war motorsport boom: https://www.gamesradar.com/games/racing/star-wars-galactic-racer-is-a-sports-movie-story-set-after-return-of-the-jedi-because-it-mirrors-the-real-life-post-ww2-motorsports-boom/

Two episodes to go.
