Scrib Doon! | Biddy Blas and the Best Star Wars Metascore in 23 Years
Three days after launch, two things have happened that I did not put on any plan.
First, Biddy Blas. A racer who introduces himself with two words has become the most shared character in the game, and the internet has adopted him completely. Richard Summers-Calvert, who voices him, says he is overwhelmed. So am I. What I posted on Tuesday still stands: “It’s amazing to see so many people loving Galactic Racer! Thank you for all the kind words. Every one of my social feeds is filled with posts about the game, while the algorithm continues to properly prioritize Mister Biddy Blas. I love it.”
IGN wrote it up, which is a sentence I never expected to type: https://www.ign.com/articles/lucasfilm-games-producer-responds-after-galactic-racer-character-biddy-blas-goes-viral

Second, the number. Forbes asked today whether Galactic Racer deserves the best Star Wars Metascore in 23 years, and answered yes. At 88 on Metacritic, this is the highest-rated Star Wars game since Knights of the Old Republic in 2003: https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2026/10/09/does-galactic-racer-deserve-the-best-star-wars-metascore-in-23-years-yes/
You cannot plan a Biddy Blas. You can only build a game with enough character in it that the internet finds one. Fuse built that game.
Scrib doon.
