Star Wars: Galactic Racer has gone gold.
Fuse put it well on the official site: “Going Gold is a traditional term in gaming that denotes when a game is finished and ready for release to manufacture. It refers to the days where a Gold disc was created as a master to then press physical copies.”
For me, Gold is one of the four gates that matter on any production: Green Light, Vertical Slice, Go-To-Ship, Gold. It is the day a build becomes a product. It is also the day you find out whether you protected the polish phase or spent it, and this team protected it.
Congratulations to everyone at Fuse Games in Guildford and at Secret Mode. First game out of a new studio, and it is on the disc. Seven weeks to October 6.
