Monkey Island 2: SE in Entertainment Weekly!
We made Entertainment Weekly's "The Must List" for the week ending July 25, 2010! Click on the image above to go directly to their site or check out what they had to say about the game below:
The beloved 1990s videogame about a hapless pirate's search for treasure gets an update (rated E) for the iPad, among other devices. It's the perfect way to enjoy the new artwork, dorky-charming humor, and throwback puzzle-solving. ($9.99 on iTunes)
Monkey Island 2: Special Edition is NOW AVAILABLE on Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, PC via Steam and Direct2Drive and on iTunes for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad
E3 2010: MI2SE Geekscape Interview Part 1
It's always great to see Jonathan and the boys from Geekscape. Jonathan and I have spent many hours geeking out about the games that inspired us growing up and even our potential casting ideas for a Monkey Island CG movie! I'm constantly blown away by his ideas, enthusiasm and energy and look forward to the next great, geeky conversation we have.

E3 2010: MI2SE gamereactorTV Interview
Can you tell that this is the very last interview of E3 2010 for both of us? Seriously. It was 5:00pm Thursday afternoon and everyone else around us was packing up the booth in a frenzy so we could get out of L.A. before the Lakers won the NBA championship later that night. That's the kind of guy I am. I'll hang out and talk Monkey Island while helicopters fly over and riot police chase people in the street.

Kotaku Interview

We're in the home stretch on Monkey Island 2: SE and close to launch which means a TON of interviews! The latest up is a brief discussion between me and Michael Fahey over at Kotaku.
Here's a choice pull quote from the article:
"We've always been in the action AND adventure game," Derrick responded. "It just seems that we've been emphasizing one over the other lately. The Special Editions and Tales of Monkey Island have been a way to measure the audience's reaction to us doing more straight adventure games and to see how the audience reacts to Monkey Island so many years after the first and last game in the series. It's been pretty successful so far."
